Leading footwear manufacturer, Dubarry of Ireland is launching a new collection of clothing, luggage and footwear for the start of 2008 at this year’s METS. From new GORE-TEX® lined and sporty shoes, to technical and casual clothing, and a smart new range of luggage, there is something new to tempt all sailing and boating enthusiasts.
Two new footwear styles are being added to the company’s extensive marine collection. These are the GORE-TEX® lined Hobart ankle boot and the Pro Racer. Both styles combine technically excellent features with good looks to ensure performance and comfort, without compromising on style.
- Hobart – a GORE-TEX® lined ankle boot, made with Dubarry’s DryFast-DrySoft™ leathers designed to dry quickly, yet softly even after repeated wetting and drying. Technical features include Dubarry’s award winning NonSlip-NonMarking™ durable rubber outsole for surefootedness, a lightweight, flexible EVA midsole for comfort and a NonSlip-NonMarking™ rubber protective toe guard. The Hobart is available in platinum nubuck and walnut nubuck in EU sizes 40-48. It costs £130.
- Pro Racer – lightweight trainer style shoe, forming part of Dubarry’s Aquasport collection. The Pro Racer is made from a flexible durable mesh and PU nubuck and features a quick fasten elasticised toggle system for active sailors. Technical features include Dubarry’s NonSlip-NonMarking™ rubber protective toe guard, a NonSlip-NonMarking™ durable rubber outsole and a lightweight EVA midsole. Available in platinum and carbon colourways in sizes 40-48, it costs £65.
- New colourways – Following the increasing popularity of Dubarry’s mahogany colourway, the company has included it in its Cruiser and Compass range.
Building on its 70 years of expertise in manufacturing marine footwear, Dubarry is launching a new clothing range for the first time. Providing top to toe solutions for fashion conscious sailors requiring top performance kit, Dubarry’s range of technical clothing is set to cause a storm!
- Solent Jacket – a lightweight, soft shell jacket made from a mix of Polyester and Spandex to offer stretch when maximum movement and flexibility is required. Features include waterproof zips, waterproof, breathable ventilation ports for dryness and an elasticated draw cord at the hem for one-handed fastening. The Solent is available in navy, ice and pebble in sizes S-XXL and costs £100.
- Mistral Trouser – a technical, lightweight trouser made from a quick drying fabric containing UV SPF 40 for increased sun protection. Technical features include a waterproof (splash) pocket in the thigh area, high abrasion Cordura reinforced patches for longevity, a seat panel and detachable tool pocket. Available in navy/brown and sand/pebble in sizes 30-40 regular or long. It costs £70.
- Sierra Shorts – perfect for warm days, featuring the same technical qualities as the Mistral. The Sierra is available in navy/brown and sand/pebble in sizes 30-40 and costs £60.
- Genoa – a long sleeved technical tee with a crew neck. This tee has been impregnated with an anti microbial finish and has UV40 protection to shield against the harmful effects of the sun. The Genoa is made from quick dry 100% knitted polyester to help wick moisture away from the skin, whilst keeping warmth in. Cover stitched seams have been added for comfort and raised rubber logos in the middle of the chest leave plenty of room for corporate logos to be embroidered onto the tee for crew wear. Available in white and navy in sizes S-XXL. Cost £35.
- Capri – a zip neck tee with all of the same technical specifications as the Genoa. Featuring a lockable zip for the high neck collar. Available in white and navy in sizes S-XXL. Cost £35.
Dubarry will also be launching a new range of casual clothing for 2008. The new, classic range offers a comfortable yet stylish solution for all sailing enthusiasts - whether on or off the water.
- Sennen – a classic polo shirt made from pure cotton. Features a three button placket using Dubarry branded buttons and a Dubarry logo on the chest. A comfort finish provides a soft and luxurious feel. It is available in navy, pebble, sand, urchin and ocean in sizes S-XXXL and costs £30.
- Scrum – a long sleeved rugby shirt made from pure cotton. It is a 240gm single jersey, with a comfort finish. The numbers 1937 are featured on the back of the shirt to signify Dubarry’s first year of manufacture. Available in navy, seaspray, ocean and sand in sizes S-XXXL. It costs £40.
- Lineout – a long sleeved, striped rugby shirt sporting a self coloured collar and knitted cuffs. It is available in navy/sand, seaspray/ocean and urchin/pebble in sizes S-XXL and costs £45.
- Mainland – a casual trouser made from 100% cotton. Available in sand or navy in sizes 30-40 in regular and long. Cost £60.
- Castaway – these shorts are made from the same fabric as the Mainland trouser. Available in navy, sand or pebble in sizes 30-40. Cost £55.
- Accessories – a new range of caps and technical socks designed to perform well on the water and to look just as good on the shore.
In addition, Dubarry has produced a premium luggage range which includes crew, cabin and laptop bags to indulge any sailor. Each piece of luggage in the collection has been made from Cordura® fabric and pull up leather (outer fabric), to reflect the appearance of Dubarry’s renowned Shamrock sailing boot. Each style also features distinct Dubarry styling details, such as branded lining, leather zips and signature logos on the handles.
- Dubliner – a stylish and practical crew bag with a 55.5 litre capacity. Featuring a concealed internal trolley system with inline skate wheels, and leather grip handles at each end for easy transportation. A rubber base using Dubarry’s NonSlip-NonMarking™ technology has been applied to the bag for durability. An anti fray seal on all leather edges has been added for longevity. The bag features multiple storage pockets, including a waterproof balloon compartment to keep wet gear separate. The Dubliner costs £160.
- Shannon – elegant looking cabin bag with a 28 litre capacity, designed to conform to airline hand luggage requirements. Featuring the same technical characteristics as the Dubliner, the Shannon features a laptop pouch, laptop cable and accessories pockets, an A4 document holder, travel wallet holder, pen holder, business card holder, iPod dock and mobile phone pouch. Costs £140.
- Crosshaven – an executive laptop bag, designed in a portrait format to provide maximum access and optimum shoulder weight distribution. Its 13 litre capacity enables plenty of space for documents, laptops, cables and other electrical equipment. Costs £100.
- Dingle – this wash bag is the perfect accessory to accompany the Classic luggage range. With ¾ opening, an internal hanging loop and finger pull handle, the Dingle is easy to access, carry and store during breaks away. It costs £25.
