Cornish Crabbers and Shrimpers want to make contact

by ADPR 4 Sep 2009 14:40 BST 11-20 September 2009

With over 1,000 Shrimper owners worldwide, there's plenty of cause to celebrate. Now Cornish Crabbers is arranging an informal get-together of Shrimper Owners, or 'wannabe' owners, during Southampton Boat Show.

The company is holding an open house on stand F015 after 5pm every day of the show. So if you fancy some traditional Cornish hospitality, and the chance to meet members of the Cornish Shrimper Association, chat with Richard Picking from Cornish Crabber company Cornish Blue, or meet Peter Thomas, Roger Cox and Kay Nichols from Cornish Crabbers, just make your way to the stand for a warm welcome.

Rock-based boat builder Cornish Crabber is planning to set up a class association for Mystery 35 owners, but they don't know where they are! The company says it has sold over 19 boats since they commenced manufacturing but they do not have contact details for many of the present owners.

Peter Thomas, Sales Manager at Cornish Crabber says that the Mystery 35 boat owners they are in touch with have welcomed the idea of a class association which will enable owners to make contact with each other, set up events and join discussion groups. Peter is appealing to any Mystery 35 owners to make contact with Cornish Crabbers on Stand F015 at Southampton Boat show.

The inaugural meeting of Mystery 35 owners on Saturday 19th September at 16.00 at Stand F015 for the first gathering of the Mystery Owners Association. Anyone wishing to come along should contact Peter Thomas or call the company on 01208 862666.

Bournemouth Digital Poole Week 2024 Day 4
Fickle winds and fluctuating fortunes Wednesday was to have been a day of round-the-harbour courses for most of the fleets racing in Poole Week. The Dolphins and Cornish Shrimpers tend to sail round-the-harbour courses anyway - none of this triangle/sausage business for them. Posted on 29 Aug 2024

Blow the wind Southerly (sometimes with a bit of East in it too) Poole Harbour was very much a harbour of two halves on the Tuesday of Poole Week. In the top triangle, sailing area for the Flying Fifteens and ILCAs (Lasers in old money), the wind started in the south and pretty well stayed there. Posted on 28 Aug 2024
