Pre-registration open for Breizhskiffs France Open Skiff 2012 at Lac du Der

by France Open Skiff Team 20 Feb 2012 18:34 GMT 7-9 April 2012

In less than 50 days from now will be held the France Open Skiff 2012 edition at Lac du Der, the first event of the Breizhskiff.com Trophy. Having had the joy to have you with us last year, we hope to see you again this year for this friendly way to spend the Easter week-end, where skiff sailors from many northern Europe countries meet.

The France Open Skiff team did a big effort once again on the communication side to help you plan your trip:

A brand new website (we are very proud of it!) - www.franceopenskiff.fr/en/ - where you will find every useful info about the program, the place and how to get there.

You will also be able to pre-register on the website, which we recommend you do quickly, as apart from allowing you to receive the definitive entry form which you need to book your meals and beds, it also will help motivating more sailors to come! Visit www.franceopenskiff.fr/en/inscription/

As we are sure that coaching and training sessions will once again meet every sailor's expectations, we will this time again offer on and off water training sessions, with 2 great coaches we're very proud to announce.

The ubiquitous Peter Barton will coach the English speaking sailors. If you don't know Pete, have a look here - www.franceopenskiff.fr/en/peter-barton-leclectique/

As not everybody is keen enough with English to to get the most of Pete's coaching sessions, we will also have a french speaking coach this year, who is none other than Kevin Fischer Guillou, former 29er World Champion and also a great trainer. Visit www.franceopenskiff.fr/en/kevin-fischer-guillou/

- As you know, this event is not only great because of sailing and coaching sessions, but also due to its friendly atmosphere, its good food, wine and beer, plus several evening entertainment that we're preparing for you.

We really hope to see you again this year, so don't wait to pre-register, and also to tell other skiff sailors about it!

And remember - there's nothing like a French(open)skiff!

The skies were heavy in Sydney, again, way off script Following a night of heavy rain, the fleet arrived at the club knowing a new weather system was now in play. The wind had swung round to a little west of south, a fairly rare thing in these parts, and the skies were heavy, again, way off script. Posted on 8 Jan
