Join the fun and excitement of the Outward Bound Trust's Diamond Cup Regatta and support disadvantaged young people

If you'd enjoy the fast-paced thrill of a competitive sailing weekend on the Solent from 17th to 19th June 2012, whilst raising funds to make a real difference to the lives of disadvantaged young people in the UK, then The Outward Bound Trust would like to hear from you.

A total of 15 Sunsail F40 boats are scheduled to take part in this year's event and the cost per boat is £5,000 which sleeps 8 people – sailing is for a maximum of 10 people to include the skipper. Registration takes place at Portsmouth Harbour Yacht Club on Sunday 17th June with a BBQ dinner, followed the next day by racing in and around the Solent. Monday evening's dinner and drinks reception is hosted at the Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes. After more competitive racing on Tuesday, all teams will attend a prize giving event at the Portsmouth Harbour Yacht Club.

The boat fee covers; use of a skipper for this event if you don't already have one, hire of the yacht for 2 days, yacht branding, event branded clothing and wet weather gear, prize giving, full English breakfast and lunch on Monday and Tuesday, Sunday evening BBQ dinner and the drinks reception and dinner on Monday evening.

Outward Bound® courses are proven to improve social and emotional well-being and make a real impact upon a young person's performance in the classroom and their communities. Through challenging wilderness adventures and personal development programmes, The Trust helps them to realise their true potential by building aspirations, self-esteem and resilience.

If you are interested in getting a team together for this fantastic social yet competitive event please contact - Dani Britton at or call on 020 3301 6481.
