The conditions in Weymouth and Portland will be similar to yesterday with a south west breeze of 12-14 knots and gusts of 20-22 knots on the cards.
The Finn and Stars have provided excellent value and with Races 9 and 10 today the places for the Medal Race will be decided ahead of the big day on Sunday.
Iain Percy and Andrew Simpson (GBR) will want to extend their lead in the Star whilst a furious Ben Ainslie (GBR) has Jonas Hogh Christensen (DEN) in his sites and will look to capitalise. The Finns kick of proceedings on the Weymouth Bay South Course at 12:00 local time followed ten minutes later by the Stars.
The Lasers and Radials will sail their seventh and eighth races after a lay day gave the largest fleets here a chance to recharge the batteries. Pavlos Kontides (CYP) holds a lead in the Laser, who start at 12:00 on the Nothe Course, whilst Annalise Murphy (IRL) will have to fend off pressure from Evi Van Acker (BEL) and Marit Bouwmeester (NED).
Stevie Morrison and Ben Rhodes (GBR) had a perfect day yesterday to move into second place in the 49er behind Nathan Outteridge and Iain Jensen (AUS). With three races on the Nothe after the Lasers another good performance can see them leapfrog the Aussies.
Twenty Women's 470 teams begin their Olympic gold pursuit on Weymouth Bay West whilst the men resume after their opening day yesterday.
