In a break with tradition, the Half Ton Classics Cup (IRC) is, in future, to become an annual event. It therefore follows the pattern of its precedessor, the Half Ton Cup (IOR). This decision has been made in response to demand from boat owners in France, England, Belgium, Ireland and further afield.
Previous editions the event were held in Nieuwpoort (BEL) 2003 (24 entries), Dinard (FRA) 2005 (30 entries), Dun Laoghaire (IRL) 2007 (25 entries), Nieuwpoort (BEL) 2009 (23 entries), Cowes (GBR) 2011 (38 entries) and Boulogne-sur-Mer (FRA) 2013 (29 entries).
The event will be held in mid-July 2014 at the Sport Nautique de St-Quay Portrieux which is located in Northern Brittany.
