Horning Sailing Club had a busy day on Saturday for their Try Sailing day as part of the Horning Boat Show.
As their RYA Push the Boat Out event during National Watersports Month, over 80 people from aged 3 to 80+ went for a taster sail on traditional broads boats with volunteers from Horning Sailing Club, including local MP Norman Lamb who enjoyed a sail on a Rebel One Design which were built in the 1950s to be sailed at Horning.
With plenty of opportunities to get on the water during the day, Club Commodore Robert Hancock was pleased to welcome so many visitors to the Club, commenting that, "it was a great day, with a real buzz around the Club. Having reached the finals of RYA Club of the Year earlier this year, it was good to have been able to open our doors to the community and have a fantastic day, with a brilliant team of volunteers making everything possible."
