4-12 July 2014
The Foiling Week today and for the rest of the weekend will see 33 mothies from 8 countries and 3 continents. It's the Italian national championship but, thanks to GAC Pindar logistics and the approaching foiling week mixed races, there is a world class entry list.
The fleet has sailed three races in all kind of conditions: 8/10 knots and flat water in the first, 10 to 25 in the second and a third with gusts over 35 knots and the classic steep 1 meter wave of Torbole.
The other foiling week flying boats are starting to arrive in Garda as well: from Tuesday 8 the flying boat will participate at mixed fleet endurance races. Some of the TFW Forum Speaker are already here enjoying the Garda dolce vita and talking about wings and foils. Tom Speer, the fluid dynamics guru, and Andrew "Amac" McDougall, designer of the moth Mach2 have shared a few drinks and it seems we witnessed the start of a long lasting friendship.
