Sponsored by Noble Marine, Allen Brothers, Zhik, Selden, Exe Sails & Ullman Sails

After no racing on Friday, Mark Lunn & Steve Blackburn are crowned 2014 National Champions! Well done guys, it was very tight in the end but a constant reminder than in sailing, consistency wins!

Congratulations to Ann Jackson & Alan Skeens winning the female national title in another close fought battle with all three ladies leading at some point in the week.

  • The winner of the Ullman Jib was Alan Roberts & Rhea Burton
  • The winner of the Ullman cover was Joe Helm
  • Martin Bottomley & Ray Ball who bagged the Selden Boom.
  • The winning Zhik buddy team was Team 8, Phil & Laura Bevan, David & Beth Porter, Charles Morrish & Caroline Gold – well done guys! We hope everyone enjoyed the buddy system this year and it will be making a comeback with improvements next year!

Steve Blackburn made his thank you in his speech with a huge thanks first and foremost to our fantastic sponsors who make these events possible, the PRO Ken Falcon, Paignton Sailing Club, the Enterprise Committee and all our competitors. Looe is the 2015 National Championships and the goal is for 70+boats as we return to the home of Enterprise Sailing.

If you have been keeping track of this year on facebook, twitter, the website or YachtsandYachting.com we hope this has renewed your passion for the Enterprise and are eager to see you next year at Looe. Lots more exciting things planned for then!

The Scottish National Championships are on the 24/25th August at St.Mary's Loch Sailing Club.

The Zhik U25 Youth Championships are on the 30/31st August at Barnt Green Sailing Club – only £10 Entry.

Overall it has been a tricky, testing week at Paignton which has showcased the strength and depth in the Enterprise class from the legends of the class to the quickly improving youth who will no doubt be knocking on the door of the Championship crown in years to come. Thank you Paignton Sailing Club and our sponsors for your support and hard work. See you next year!
