Sailors briefing done, ready to go!
After two days of measurments Pierre-Charles Barraud (Chief Measurer) and his team already completed 160 boats. Thanks to the perfect coordination and the appointment system everything went very smooth. No rush, just only smiles!
On Monday at 11:00 the first sailors briefing was held. Everybody is ready for a final test before the Worlds officially will start on Tuesday. The Race Committee, Jury, Management and of course all sailors are ready and will be out on the water at 15:00 for a practice race. If you want to track the sailors you can follow them online. All boats will have a Trac Trac GPS tracking device on board.
Monday evening at 18:30 their will be a flag parade in the Kiel marina followed by the official opening ceremony and sailors dinner at 19:00. You won't have to miss anything, everything is broadcasted on:
The Formula 18 Worlds 2015 will be held at the Kiel Yacht Club – Germany from 11th-18th of July. Almost 200 catamarans signed up fort his event and will be the biggest Formula 18 fleet ever. More information about Formula 18 sailing can be found on the official website,
