An intrepid band of twelve Starcross Yacht Club juniors travelled to the National Sailing Academy in Weymouth & Portland on 18th June for the RYA Regional Junior Championships. With extremely strong winds, sailing on both Saturday and Sunday was challenging and all sailors did extremely well.

The results were a substantial improvement up the fleet from last year, which is a testament to all of their hard work during the winter and on Friday evenings. The event was very well attended with well over 200 boats entered and Starcross sailors scooped several prizes including Huw Beare as 2nd Topper overall (first Topper SW Region) and Henry Reed as 3rd Tera overall (1st SW Region).
