The National Scorpion Association are very excited to announce a two year sponsorship deal with DeWALT, the leading manufacturer of industrial power tools with more than 300 power tool and equipment products as well as 800 power tool accessories, for this years National Championships in Looe, in association with Craftinsure, and next year's National Championships at Eastbourne.

The Scorpion Class continues to show huge resurgence and success over the last few years, with a hugely successful Championships in Penzance last year, and a sold-out Championships Looe SC next week and plans to make the Championships at Eastbourne Sovereign Sailing Club the most successful yet.

There are more new boats being built and sold than has happened for a long time. P&B are now selling Winder built plastic boats, JJ and Duffin are continuing to make new boats, and Paintcraft and Gosling Dinghies are building new boats and refurbishing existing boats, which is proving a very popular way of getting very competitive boats back on the water. 20 plus year-old boats are back at the front of the fleet fighting against the new boats, showing the strength in the original design and build.

Chris Yates, class Chair, said about this new partnership, "this demonstrates the appeal and longevity of the Scorpion class and what fun, exciting, competitive events the Scorpion National Championships have become."

In addition to this partnership with DeWALT, this year's Scorpion National Championships is supported by Craftinsure with additional support from: Copperfish Distillery from Looe, Ovington Boats, and Pinnell & Bax, who have been a fantastic supporter of the class, and in getting the new Winder Scorpions on to the water this support has gone up a level.
