The 37th America's Cup Official Exhibition Centre has opened in Barcelona in the former IMAX cinema complex.

The main atrium features a replica of the America's Cup trophy set beneath two replica foils of Emirates Team New Zealand, the defending champion and INEOS Britannia, the Challenger of Record.

Walking through the free area, visitors can learn about the racing and get familiar with the racing teams and the uniforms they wear to compete in the regatta for which the Challenger Selection Series starts in less than 12 months.

Official 37th America's Cup merchandise can be purchased from a shop at the free zone's exit.

The ticketed zone of the America's Cup Experience features a 3D undersea world before entering a 90-screen America's Cup timeline exhibition.

The final part of the visitor experience is to enter the IMAX auditorium where award-winning film-makers have created an America's Cup film, titled 'One Hell of a Battle,' covering the psyche required to win, the difficulty of the task and the regatta itself planned to be sailed off the beach in Barcelona.

In the coming weeks, additional features will be added, including two simulators that will give visitors an audio-visual experience of sailing onboard an AC75.

The America's Cup Experience is open every day from now until the conclusion of the America's Cup.
