2024 ILCA 6 Youth and Men's World Championships at Yacht Club Argentino - Overall

Today marked the conclusion of the ILCA 6 2024 Youth and Men's World Championships, organized by the Yacht Club Argentino and the International Laser Class Association, held in the city of Mar del Plata, Argentina.

On the sixth and final day of the championship, the last races were held with a south wind of approximately 8 to 12 knots.

Antonio Pascali from Italy was crowned champion in the Youth Men's category, maintaining a leading position throughout the championship. Rem Pulci Magen from Israel secured second place, and the American Jake Homberger claimed the third place.

In the women's category, Italian Maria Vittoria Arseni was the overall champion after sailing consistently well all week. Irish Sienna Wright secured the second position and was also crowned the Under-17 World Champion. The third-place award went to Italian Ginevra Caracciolo.

In the Men's division, Francisco Renna from Argentinia was the champion after maintaining the top spot throughout the week. He won the final race of the championship, comfortably distancing himself from his closest competitor in second place, fellow Argentinian Juan Pablo Bisio. Brazilian Antonio Cavalcanti Rosa completed the podium in third place.

Brazilian Gustavo Canovas Kiessling was crowned U17 World Champion in the ILCA 6 category.
