The skipper of Holcim-PRB is off to an incredible start of his first Vendée Globe as he just broke the 24h speed record. On the second day of the race, Nicolas opted for a more westerly route than the fleet. He has just covered 546.60 nautical miles in 24 hours, or 1,012.30 km, confirming the exceptional potential of Holcim-PRB.

This boat already holds the crewed 24-hour distance record, covering 640.48 miles in the 5th leg of The Ocean Race in 2023, with an average speed of 26.68 knots.

Nicolas Lunven thus surpasses the record set by Thomas Ruyant during the Retour à la Base event (540 miles). This achievement is a testament to his reputation as an exceptional navigator and sailor.
