If it is new kit you’re in search of then pay a visit to Allen Brothers (Fittings ltd) on stand C94 who will be exhibiting their new range of products including a mainsheet jammer and pump action cleats, or pick a bargain from LaserPerformance (B10) who are holding the special ’60 Minute Sale’ across all their products to celebrate the show’s 60th birthday (12:00-1:00 on both days).
For all those visitors interested in new boats, drop by one of the many class associations who will be proudly exhibiting their latest models such as the International 2.4 Metre Class Association (F34) with the launch of the new British built 2.5 model, or Hartley Boats LTD (C56) who have the new Hartley Rebel design, a two person high performance skiff which will be on display for the very first time.
Over on stand B52, join the UK RS Class Association for the official launch of the RS Games (Saturday 05 at 4:30pm), which will take place in August 2011 and will see nine RS Classes competing for National and European and World titles at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy.
Don’t forget to visit the British Finn Association (G24) who are announcing their 2012 UK Events Schedule exclusively at the show including the 2012 Finn Gold Cup, World Masters and the Pwllheli and Olympic Regatta at Weymouth. The D-Devoti class will also be launching their D-One regatta series which covers eight countries including 34 regatta dates (stand G20).
If cars are your thing, Volvo will be proudly exhibiting the all new V60 and S60 on the entrance steps to the Palace, and the Volvo Towing Workshops (daily sessions at 10.00am - 12.30pm and 14.00pm - 16.30pm on both days) are back again by popular demand.
Meet Team Volvo for Life sailor’s Helena Lucas (Saturday) and Nick Dempsey (Sunday) on the Volvo stand (F38) who will be signing autographs and sharing their advice and experience with young sailors and parents. If you want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the show visit Volvo’s new ‘Chill Out Bubble’. The unique bubble tent, launching exclusively at the show, will be present at all of Volvo’s sailing events throughout the year as a place for sailors to relax after a hard day on the water.
From adventure holidays to the latest sailing gear, there are plenty of prizes up for grabs from the many exhibitors’ competitions and prize draws. Rigiflex (stand G19) are offering sailing clubs the chance to win a £200 voucher to redeem against a Rigiflex Safety boat whilst the Tall Ships Youth Trust (stand C84) are running a free prize draw throughout the show for the opportunity to win a voyage worth £500.
