Solos at the RYA Volvo Dinghy Show

by Claire Clark 1 Mar 2012 07:20 GMT Stand C26, 3-4 March 2012

A good opportunity to see some Solos!

The Solo Publicity Office is buzzing with excitement ahead of the RYA Volvo Dinghy Show at Alexandra Palace over the weekend of 3/4th March.

On the Class Association stand (C26 Great Hall) there’s the opportunity to see a brand new Winder MK2 Solo and a Gosling Dinghy Craft constructed in Ply-foam-Ply.

Over the weekend the stand will also be showcasing a selection of sails from sail lofts including, Batt, Dynamic, Edge and Hyde Sails.

Elsewhere around the show, you will find a Winder Mk 1 Solo on the Allen stand with a sail from new loft, HD Sails while over on the Holt stand another Winder MK2 Solo this time with a P&B Sail.

If that wasn’t enough, as part of the Jack Holt Centennial Display the Solo Class will have Solo no 40, kindly on loan from Richard Tomlinson.

Come and see us on stand C26 in the Great Hall where the willing Solo volunteers will be happy to discuss all things Solo and find out what this thriving class has to offer. With over 100 new boats being built every year for the last 5 years there’s nothing stopping the onward march of this Jack Holt classic.

For more information on the class, see the website at www.solosailing.org.uk
