The Musto Performance Skiff Class Association (MPSCA) and Victor Boats are delighted to announce that at the recent ISAF Conference the Musto Performance Skiff was granted ISAF Recognised status; we are also pleased to announce the appointment of Olympic Silver medallist Keith Musto as the class president.

The Musto Performance Skiff was launched in 1999 and since that time has enjoyed significant growth in numbers, with boats now sold into 17 countries world-wide. The achievement of ISAF Recognised status is a milestone for the growth of the class and will further assist in the international development of the class.

Keith Musto needs little introduction, his extensive knowledge in the development of classes and the politics of international sailing will provide great benefit to the class association management team. Keith held the role of Secretary and Treasurer of the International Melges 24 Class Association for 6 years and was one of the key drivers in the growth and development of the class.

Paul Manning from Victor Boats said, "We have had a great year with sales exceeding 60 boats world wide; ISAF recognised status will support further development of the class overseas. Also, the appointment of Keith Musto as class president will provide the association with additional support from one of the sports most experienced individuals with key knowledge in the development of international classes."

As a result of the grant of ISAF Recognised Status the class can now hold an official World Championships and the event is already scheduled to take place at Lake Garda next June and a multi-national entry in excess of 80 boats is expected.

MPSCA Chairman Paul Clark said, "The class association has put a huge effort into the development of the class overseas and the recognition of ISAF is very pleasing for all those involved and we expect this will lead on to the development of the class in even more countries. The appointment of Keith as our class president brings a wealth of experience to the class association and I look forward to working with Keith to take the class forwards."
