Australian Flying 11 National Championships, 38 degree heat

Host Club: Sandringham Yacht Club

The 85 boat fleet contesting the Flying 11 National Championships at Sandringham Yacht Club completed race 2 of the 7 race regatta today on Port Phillip Bay in 38
degree heat.

Melbourne has subjected the National Flying 11s fleet to extremely hot conditions for the 2nd day running, with Race 1 on Wednesday conducted in 37 degree heat. Race
2 commenced Thursday with a 360 degree northerly blowing 15 knots at 2.06pm

After 2 races aggregate standings have the Manly boat 'Terra firma' leading the fleet on 3 points, with another N.S.W boat from greenwich, 'Bob sled' currently second on
4 points and also in the hunt is 'Just do it', a boat from Wangi Wangi also from NSW currently positioned on 8 points.
