With over 1200 members SYC is one of the most premier and active clubs in the South West of England. The ria is a beautiful part of Devon to sail in. 

It is said that Merlin Rocket Week is the jewel in the club's crown, attracting 120 teams from across the country and placing the town at the centre of the sailing worlds attentions for one week in July. 

The Town Regatta and Salcombe Yacht Club Regattas are hugely popular and are the highlights of the year.
