Day 5 was not a good day overall for the British Team. With the high pressure dominating the weather sailing was in at best a force 2 in incredible heat.
In the first race Jodie found herself whistled by the jury boat on the line and had to retire from the race as it was her second whistle during the series. Oren finished 7th, Guy 11th and Andrew 22nd. James finished 25th , with the first three places going to his rivals it was important for a good showing in race two.
Race two saw Elliott caught out by the black flag. Andrew was 10th, James 14th and Oren 20th. Jodie lost a protest to cap a bad day for the team. James had now slipped a place in the overall rankings. It was now imperative for a strong final race.
The promotional fleet continued to be very tight at the top with all the main contenders continuing to keep their form. David Brewer won the first race closely followed by Jonathon Moss. Alex Palmer was third and Stephen and Christopher Videlo fourth.
Thomas Makey won the second race from Andrew Twinn and Katrina Hughes, with Stephen Videlo fourth again.
