For the final event in the 2003 Topper Southern Travellers series, the competitors came inland to Datchet Water.

Four races were held in a cool northerly force 3-4 wind, with some gusts to provide excitement for the sailors and action for safty boats.

Although each of the races was very closely fought, Alastair Nichol secured wins in each of the first three races for a clear overall victory. James Bennett's win in the fourth race clinched second spot overall ahead of Andy Fielder.

Sailors from the south coast took the next nine places overall, while the home club sailors were headed by Tom Wilson in 13th place.

Although Dan Belben had already secured the Southern Trevellers series , Alastair Nichol's win here at Datchet allowed him to claim second place in the series ahead of Daniel Small.

Thanks to Race Office Huw Pearce and his team for providing an excellent days racing.
