Wayfarer Rally at Brancaster Staithe Sailing Club

The weekend of May 15th/16th saw 10 Wayfarers from the UKWA gather at Brancaster Staithe in North Norfolk for the now annual rally. Perfect weather for sunbathing greeted the group, but unfortunately little wind.

Saturday found the group voluntarily marooned on the sand in Holkham Bay forlunch before a slow sail and motor home. The following day produced a forecast of wind speed 0 MPH, but a smaller group braved the sunshine for a morning spent exploring Scolt Head Island and the wreck on the sand before sea breezes tempted them out for a sail. Great fun, relaxation and a small amount of good sailing.
