The relatively small fleet enjoyed warm sunshine and force 2-3, gusting 4, on Saturday.

Visitors Richard and Chrisse Morris (Melton Mowbray SC) took the first race followed by locals Mike Fitzgerald and Tim Dormer (Dell Quay SC), with Leader newcomers Steve and Ellie Morris (no relation to Richard and Chrissie!) completing their first competitive race in a well-deserved third place!

In race two, first and second places were reversed, as Fitzgerald and Dormer took full advantage of using their spinnaker in the building wind, and race three followed a similar pattern, with the locals winning.

Sunday's conditions gradually deteriorated to heavy showers and a force 3-4, gusting 5 southerly. The extra wind allowed the competitors to experience exciting planning and 'interesting' spinnaker gybes! Both the days races ended with the same finishing order after some close racing, with Fitzgerald and Dormer taking line honours, with visitors Chris and Jane Wharmby second, the Morrises (R&C) third, and Jason Jackson and Graham McNeill fourth. The local Dell Quay boat took the weekend honours with four wins out of five races.

Overall Results:

1st Mike Fitzgerald and Tim Dormer 3pts (Dell Quay SC)
2nd Richard & Chrissie Morris 5pts (Melton Mowbray SC)
3rd Chris and Jane Wharmby 10pts (Milton Keynes SC)
4th Stephen and Ellie Morris 13pts
5th Jason Jackson and Graham McNeill 14pts (Bristol & Avon SC)
