Henri Lloyd Atmosphere 360

by Amy Bradley-Watson, Henri Lloyd 3 Jan 2008 08:45 GMT

The Atmosphere 360 concept is simple; utilising design and fabric technologies which have been developed and tested through Henri Lloyd’s ongoing product development program, to provide this innovative collection which offers comfort and intelligent protection from the environment.

The garments within the Atmosphere 360 collection use a range of technologies that create a “personal micro-climate” by providing moisture management, high UV protection and insulation when needed. This is achieved through garment design and a new generation of technical fabrics. The collection has been designed to deliver comfort and performance from varied sports activities to normal everyday wear.

This "go anywhere, do anything" clothing range has been developed to cover a range of climatic conditions which have been categorised into ‘Warm’ and ‘Cold’, within each category there are three different ranges; Soft Shell, Fast-Dri & Shell.

WARM ZONE
When in warm conditions or when you are constantly moving, you need to select garments that work together to keep your body cool. Breathability and comfort are fundamental, whilst protection from wind, water and other climatic conditions is also extremely important.

COLD ZONE
The Cold Zone range has been designed to provide you with the comfort you need when the temperature falls or during more passive activities. The products within this range constitute next to skin and mid-layer systems, both of which are important when controlling thermal insulation.

Soft Shell

The Henri Lloyd Soft Shell range is extremely versatile and has been designed to provide comfort and performance to the wearer.

Within this range, categorised under the Warm Zone is the Bora Windstopper Jacket which was developed alongside W L Gore technologies. This exclusive jacket is made from Gore Windstopper fabric and is extremely tough, wind and water resistant, and also extremely breathable, making it the ideal jacket for cool summer sailing.

The Soft Shell products within the Cold Zone, are Henri Lloyd’s new Fusion collection; consisting of a men’s and women’s jacket together with a vest. Constructed from insulated soft shell this product is both highly wind and water resistant, extremely breathable and has high stretch properties. The outer face of the garment has been treated with a DWR (Durable Water Repellency) finish, whilst the inner brushed fleece aids with insulation and warmth. Both the jacket and vest also benefit from a quick drying Rentex mesh collar and welded pockets.

Fast Dri & Fast Dri - Core

The next to skin range within the Warm Zone is the Fast-Dri Featherweight collection. This range of garments is ideal for warm weather sailing and high performance sports. The Fast-Dri Featherweight fabric is highly breathable and extremely high wicking - spreading perspiration and moisture across the surface area to speed up the drying process. Each garment also benefits from UV protection to help prevent sunburn, which is vitally important during exposure to the sun’s harmful rays while on the water. A further development is its antimicrobial finish, which reduces the build up of bacteria and the resulting odour within the garment. The finish is also durable, therefore allowing the garment to be repeatedly washed without any loss in performance. For 2008 a women’s range has been introduced which offers a selection of flattering designs and attractive colours.

The next to skin range within the Cold Zone is the Fast-Dri Core Base Layer collection, which has been designed to provide a lightweight, high stretch and quick drying thermal layer featuring anti bacterial protection to prevent odours and also has a 30+ UVF protection. The range is available in both men’s and women’s styles.

Shell

Within the Cold Zone range is the Diablo Jacket, which is available in both a men’s and women’s design, together with the option of a unisex vest. This jacket has been designed for marine use, yet is also adaptable for casual wear. Constructed from Henri Lloyd’s own TPT fabric, the jacket is 100% waterproof and windproof and is also highly breathable. The jacket features a fleece lining, therefore has excellent thermal qualities. Other features include a 2-way non corrosive front zip and a secure internal pocket. The design of the women’s jacket is cut especially for the female figure whilst retaining all the technical attributes.

Within the Warm Zone is the Breeze Collection, which consists of a Men’s and Women’s Jacket, Unisex Vest, Women’s Hooded Jacket and Unisex Trouser. Constructed from Henri Lloyd’s own fabric TP1, the products are all breathable and 100% waterproof and windproof, they have also been treated with a DWR (Durable Water Repellency) finish, which helps to shed surface water, thus maintaining the comfort of the garment.
