Wow that’s a confident claim. Well its not just hot air. 15 months ago we were approached by a lady who said that she could not find a buoyancy aid at the dinghy show that was comfortable. Most pressed too hard on her chest and despite window shopping around the whole show she returned
unhappy to our stand to tell us about her situation. Her boyfriend commented that the one thing that she hated about sailing was having to wear a buoyancy aid whilst racing and she would often be seen crossing the finish line and throwing her buoyancy aid off in relief.
Thankfully her boyfriend was our sailmaker and together we set to work to improve our existing Black Diamond Design. Some lateral thinking and a eureka moment later we had a design that she felt was a massive breakthrough for ladies and called it our free form design. We took a few samples to the Dinghy Show in the Spring which were snapped up, and now we have the main supply in stock.
