Sailing is one of the only sports when men and women can compete on even terms and at the same level, also more women than ever now take part in sailing, which was apparent at Cowes Week where around a third of the competitors were female.

Henri Lloyd value the importance of women in the sport, and understand that in order to perform to your best potential, garments need to fit correctly, gone are the days where women will accept wearing men's garments in smaller sizes, below are a few suggestions of presents from our ever expanding ladies collection.

The Women’s Canvas Cap is constructed from 100% cotton and features an off centre embroidery with a contrast sandwich peak, the cap comes in a selection of flattering colours.

Henri Lloyd Breeze Hooded Jacket – Women’s

The original and definitive warm weather sailing jacket is a technical replica of the Male version, but has been designed for the female stature and also features a hood. Designed for warmer weather conditions or as a versatile shore jacket, they are constructed from the highly durable, waterproof and breathable TP1 fabric and features a lightweight mesh lining and are contoured to provide a comfortable fit, whilst the front zip fastening pockets provide secure storage.

Ainslie Spray Top

The Ainslie Spray top is constructed from Henri Lloyd’s own fabric; TP2: which is unlined to speed up drying time, increase its breathability and to reduce the weight of the garment. The smock is also articulated for ease of movement and is contoured to reduce windage. Additional features include a Dartex Neck Seal With Non Corrosive Zip, Dartex Cuff Seals and a fast draining quick access sleeve pocket and stow pocket.

Ainslie Hiking Shorts

These ¾ length neoprene shorts, have been designed to provide support, comfort and protection whilst hiking. The main feature of the shorts is the incorporation of strong non-flex battens which help the wearer to hike for longer periods of time.

As with all Henri Lloyd technical clothing comfort is very important, the double thickness neoprene under the batten panels provides additional comfort to the sailor whilst the adjustable shoulder straps offer a more versatile fit.

Other features incorporated into the design are the protective knee pads and padded reinforced seat, which provide longevity and protection from deck abrasion. Whilst the externally bound seams and the double thickness industrial strength batten covering, offer increased durability.

Ainslie Rash Vest

The Ainslie Rash Vest has been designed to give additional protection whilst on the water, and has the benefit of being extremely quick drying and has a contoured fit.

They can be worn with your hiking shorts or can help prevent chaffing and aid insulation when worn under a wetsuit. This 4 way super stretch top can also be worn over a buoyancy vest to close down loose straps and reduce friction. UPF factor of 30+ it will provide essential protection against the sun's harmful rays.

Ainslie Buoyancy Aid

The Ainslie Buoyancy Aid offers protection and safety to the wearer with the additional benefit of minimal bulk, therefore allowing more freedom of movement and comfort while sailing, without comprising on safety and performance.

For increased comfort the internal Velcro straps offers extra insulation and back support. The Buoyancy Aid has also been designed to be as ergonomic as possible and major priority was eliminating the possibilities of getting caught under the boom when tacking

Other features include single handed self adjustable side bat wings therefore allows the wearer to adjust whilst sailing single handed, it also features a secure zip fastening, self draining front pocket provides easy storage for those essential items while on the water. The Ainslie Shore Jacket is constructed from Henri Lloyd’s own fabric, TP1, which is 100% water and wind proof and is breathable. The jacket, also features a quick drying rentex mesh collar lining for increased comfort, a secure zip fastening internal pocket and two Side Pocket which also benefit from non corrosive zips.

Additional features also include a mesh lining for increased breathability, whilst the jacket is articulated for ease of movement and contoured to reduce windage.

The Ainslie Glove has been designed to offer comfort and protection to the wearer. The back of the gloves are constructed from a nylon stretch mesh which offers maximum flexibility and also benefits from being quick drying. Whilst the Max Grip palm material offers additional grip and protection against rope burn, for increased durability and strength Kevlar thread throughout.
