Information on the new J100 will be on the Key Yachting & J-UK stand N1868 at the London Boat Show © J-Boats
Key Yachting and J-UK will be exhibiting four boats from their range on stand number N1868. You will find them in the same place as last year.
The award winning 43 foot J/133 will be on show. This model has achieved some commendable racing success in its first year, notably winning Class 1 at Cork Week 2004 and more recently another win in Class Zero of the Tyco Hamble Winter Series.
If you have only heard about the phenomenal success of the J/109 then now is your chance to come and see what all the fuss is about. The J/109 goes from strength to strength, and, with a string of racing successes under IRC, including the 2004 Rolex Commodores Cup victory, 2005 will see the further development of the J/109 UK One Design circuit.
The Royal Cornwall Yacht Club in Falmouth will be hosting the 2005 J/80 Sportsboat World Championship during the first week of July. This has already lead to a rush of orders for new boats. This ISAF one-design sportsboat offers unrivalled performance and manageability. If you want to sail with your family or race to win in a one-design, the J/80 is well worth a look.
Key Yachting will also be exhibiting the much envied, oft imitated 1720 Sportsboat. This class continues to attract some of the most renowned personalities in sailing, but whether you are an Olympiad or a Club sailor the 1720 Sportsboat can offer you some spectacular racing and the fun is guaranteed! The 2005 Euro Championships are being held on Lake Garda in 2005 and everyone, just everyone, is talking about it!
So stand N1868 is bound to be busy with plenty to see, but in addition to the boats on show there will be full information on the stand about two brand new models from J Boats: the J/100 and the J/92s.
The J/100 has just been awarded Sailing World magazines’ ‘Overall Boat of the Year Award’ for 2005, a title won by the J/133 in 2004. Described variously as ‘the best looking J Boat yet’ and ‘the ultimate personal sailing yacht’ this sleek, fast, 33 footer will be arriving in UK waters in March 2005. Full information on the J/100 will be available on stand N1868.
You can also pick up the full SP on another new model from J Boats; the J/92s. Based on the design principles that ensured the winning form of the J/92, the J/92s features a longer deeper keel than the J/92 which will improve the boats upwind performance, a larger cockpit and a masthead asymmetric spinnaker along with a host of other modifications which ensure that the J/92s incorporates all the current design intelligence that racing sailors have come to expect from a J Boat.
