The National School Sailing Association had one of its busiest ever weekends at this year’s RYA Volvo Dinghy Show with the launch of the refreshed NSSA logos and also the introduction of a new mascot, 'Leo' the Lion. Leo spent the weekend pressing fur with the dinghy show visitors, sleeping in Volvo's and trapeezing on 18' skiffs.
The NSSA were also very proud to announce that Topper Sailboats will become our preferred supplier of sailing dinghies. Topper Sailboats have already supported the NSSA for the last 3 years and given their product range and the strong relationship that has developed it was a natural continuation. As part of this relationship Topper Sailboats will be providing 6 brand new Xenon's for the prestigious Mt Haes Trophy - a knock out event which takes place during the NSSA's National Youth Regatta, held at Grafham Water this July.
Probably the most significant announcement of the show was that the 2012 NSSA National Youth Regatta will take place at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy from 7th to 13th July 2012 and will be the very final event to be held at WPNSA before the London 2012 organisers move in for the Olympic Games.
The NSSA are actively seeking sponsors and partners for the 2012 National Youth Regatta. For more information about the National School Sailing Association go to www.nssa.org.uk
