The RS Association has appointed Fotoboat to be their official championship photographers for another year. This will be sixth year of the relationship between the UK’s biggest class association and Fotoboat, and it is an important one, with nine of the RS classes holding their World, European or National championships at the WPNSA Olympic venue during a 12 day period in August. Mike Rice, Fotoboat’s founder said “we will be on the scene every day during the RS Games, recording the action with both still photographs and, for the first time, video. I am very much looking forward to it – should be a great event!”
Other events to be covered by Fotoboat during the season include the RS Sprint Championships at Rutland, the Youth Championships at Hillhead and the Inland Championships of most of the classes, at various venues in the autumn. Fotoboat’s unique strength lies in its team of photographers, based all around the UK from Scotland to Cornwall. Heather Chipperfield, of the RS Association, said “we are delighted to be working again with Fotoboat for our important and exciting RS Games and all other major RS Championships.”
