We're on the way to the Worlds

P&B Gul Race team have loaded up the van ready for the Fireball Worlds 2011. Dave Wade and Simon Potts, Tom Gillard and Sam Brearey, and Vince Horey and Andy Thompson will be representing P&B and there will be many suits of our sails on the rest of the fleet. The event takes place in Sligo from the 11th to the 24th of June. 58 boats from 9 countries and 3 continents, the rest of the team here at P&B wish everyone the best of luck.

1st, 2nd and 3rd at Oulton Broad

P&B Gul Race Team's Will Gulliver won the Eastern Areas on 4-5th June followed in second place by Tyler Harmsworth and third by Matthew House. Will was sailing a P&B boat with P&B Sails and Tyler and Matthew were using P&B Sails. The conditions were windy and gusty and when asked about the new developmental sail he was using, Will grinned and said it was better than a well known indoor pursuit that we really can't mention in a newsletter! It's enough to say though that he was very happy with the sail. The new full sail has been developed into a specialist inland sail and you can get more information by emailing us.

International 14s & 505s at Garda

P&B had success with 2nd and 3rd places in the International 14 Opens when second place went to Roger Gilbert and Ben McGrane and third to Andy and Edward Fitzgerald, both using P&B Sails.

The 505s participated in some very tricky racing conditions with Northerly breezes and pressure bands in the Euro Cup, where Ian Pinnell achieved 9th overall. The winners of the event, Jorgen and Jacob Bojsen-Moller (Denmark) were using a Selden Alto mast which obviously proved a great success.
