23-29 July 2011
On the final day of the Delphis Dart18 World Championships there was a thorough battle for the first place.
Race 9 was led from begin to end by Patrick en son Henri Demesmaeker from Belgium. For second place Belgium team Philip Hendrickx and Gaetan Bols and Dan Norman and Melanie Rogers from UK battled, finally Norman-Rogers took second place and Hendrickx-Bols third. This meant that Norman had to win the last race to win from the Kernicks (Great Brittan). So the championship was still open. Race 10 was won by Dave and Louise Roberts, followed by Partrick and Henri Demesmaeker and David Lloyd and Joanna Jones- Pierce third. Unfortunately team Norman-Rogers only managed 11th which was not enough for the title.
Alan and Fiona Kernick from England got the world title with a 9 point lead. The second place goes to Dan Norman & Melanie Rogers. Former world Champion Thierry Wibeaux is third. The first Belgian team are father and son Patrick and Henri Demesmaeker on the fifth place.
