Crewsaver are pleased to announce the appointment of dinghy sailing legend and record
breaking sailor Peter Barton as an R&D team rider.
Peter will be working closely alongside our dinghy design team testing products and providing
valuable feedback on fabric, design and features. Peter’s knowledge and his world class
sailing track record across a wide variety of classes will help take Crewsaver’s dinghy range to
a whole new level of performance, style and comfort.
Peter is passionate about his sailing having achieved championship victories over a variety of
classes. His experience of racing at a top level ranges from hiking boats through to high
performance trapeze boats and from the state of the art foiling Moth through to sports boats
giving him a unique perspective on the subtleties required from performance sailing kit in each
specific discipline.
Said Peter: “I am delighted to be working with Crewsaver in testing and developing their range
for other passionate dinghy sailors. Crewsaver are committed to offering quality products that
will allow sailors from a variety of disciplines to perform to their full potential in relative comfort.
From what I have experienced so far this autumn they have an exciting range in store for
2012.”
Peter is currently racing in the dynamic International Moth class and having achieved a 2nd
place in the 2011 European Championship he was the first UK sailor in the class to break the
elusive 30knot speed barrier recording a sizzling 30.6kn on his GPS this November.
