Boats.com, the world’s largest web portal for new and used boats for sale, has more than tripled its monthly traffic since launching in December 2011.
Boats.com acquired the European portal, www.allboats.com, in June 2011 and the two portals have been combined to create the largest website of its kind, boasting the most boats for sale than any other website in the world.
The newly redesigned sites were rolled out across Spain, UK, Germany, France, Italy and the Netherlands – each in local language, throughout the course of December 2011 and January 2012, and has since seen a substantial boost in traffic numbers and boat enquiries. Unique visitors has increased by 381%, visits by 337%, which has subsequently increased the number of leads for the sites’ brokers and dealers by a staggering 266%.
Katie Ashworth from Boats.com, says, "The impressive increase that we have seen in traffic to our European sites is as a result of the considerable development efforts put into the project to make Boats.com the world’s definitive boating resource. Our sites are extremely consumer focused, with the best selection of new and used boats available in the world, plus regular news, reviews and features written by top marine authors. We are confident that Boats.com now provides the best solution for boat buyers and sellers online which is reflected in our new monthly visitor numbers."
