The UKs most popular single handed catamaran, the Dart 15, was relaunched as the new Sprint 15 at the Dinghy Show on 5/6 March and the new livery was much admired. The boat displayed was actually one of the last UK built boats re-badged but a prototype South African boat is due for delivery in May and the first production boats will be delivered in the August/September timeframe.
The price for a full race specification boat was announced as £4995 inclusive of VAT. The Class Association will be coordinating the bulk buy of an Out of Africa special edition in the autumn.
A new spares service has been set up by Brian Phipps at Windsport (01326 376191) and they can now supply most spares.
The Class produced a 12 page Alexandra Palace special edition of the Sprint 15 magazine, NewSprint, with all the Class news and an interesting ‘altered image’ Sprint 15 on the cover.
