The countdown to Abersoch Dinghy Week has started with just over a month to go. Racing starts on the morning of Sunday 22nd July 2012. This year ADW will be kindly sponsored by the dinghy insurer GJW Direct, local chandlers Abersoch boatyard, sailing kit manufacturer Crewsaver and holiday park operators Haulfryn.

ADW is rated in the Yachts & Yachting's "must do events". Entries regularly hit the 300 boats plus figure each year. This year may break that number. On the social side, The SCYC clubhouse and the headland at Abersoch will be rocking with a full programme of live bands and BBQs, overlooking the fantastic Cardigan Bay. Bands will include Dinghy Week favourites Elephant Juice who will be performing all our favourite hits.

The usual fleets will be sailing, with big turnouts for Phantoms and solos fleets already looking good. Junior fleet sailing will take place within the safety of the bay.

Entries will still be taken up to and including Saturday 21st July. Further information and entry forms can be obtained from the SCYC website www.scyc.co.uk and by using the links or by telephoning the club office on 01758 712338.
