All the planning comes to a head this weekend at Wraysbury Lake Sailing Club, when Jack Holt designed boats, old and new, will come to play. There is still time to enter, whether you sail a modern incarnation or a classic Holt boat.
The weather forecast, by the standards of this summer, is looking good, with 8 to 12 mph winds, so time to hook the Solo, Enterprise, GP14, Mirror, Cadet or whatever other Holt design you happen to have onto the back of the car and pop down to Wraysbury Lake in Middlesex for a great weekend of sailing, chatting and looking at beautiful boats.
Visitors to see the boats and share the atmosphere will also be welcome.
Jack Holt's own Merlin, Gently, No16, will be re-launched at the event by Chris Barlow following her restoration.
Nick Cottle has spent the last 6 months working on his Vagabond, pictured, which he will be bringing for her first sail in company since the restoration.
