Amazing prizes up for grabs at the RYA Dinghy Show 2013

With less than a month to go until the doors open on the 62nd annual RYA Dinghy Show, there are a whole host of competitions for you to get involved in, leading up to the show and during the show itself.
If you're new to dinghy sailing then the first stop on your visit has to be the 'New to Sailing' area. Here you'll be able to pick the brains of our experts about the best boats to learn in, what to wear, where to find a course and much more. But as well as getting all the vital information you'll also have an opportunity to win some amazing prizes. Just answer the simple sailing related question and come up with an awesome tie breaker answer and you could win yourself all of the following goodies:
- Star Prize - A Topper Club boat complete with 4.2m sail courtesy of Topper Sailboats
- A Dinghy Level 1 / Stage 1 course with SWAC (Southampton Water Activity Centre)

We also welcome back to the show the RYA Dinghy Show SailX Championship and RS Tera Design a sail competition.
With so many amazing entries in last year's RS Tera Design a Sail competition we had to run it again. Up for grabs is an RS Tera dinghy, worth £1,735.00. To enter visit www.dinghyshow.org.uk click on what's on / competition, download the entry form and get creative giving the RS Tera in the picture a snazzy new sail design. Post or email your entry back to the RYA, to arrive by 24 February, and your design will be displayed at the show with the winner being announced at the show on Sunday 03 March.
The SailX Championship takes place in three phases leading up to the show; Phase 1 – 21 January to 03 February, Phase 2 – 04 – 17 February and Phase 3 – 18 February to 03 March. You can get involved at any time or come along to the show and try your luck for a wild card entry in to the grand final. Prizes will be awarded to the overall individual and class winners. For younger visitors to the show we have the extremely popular treasure hunt. In this year's pirate themed treasure hunt youngsters will collect the stickers and goodies from around the show and could be in with a chance of winning, 1st place Sea Sure Folding Bike, 2nd place Rooster Aqua Fleece and 3rd place Rooster Neck gaitor. All prize winners also win an RYA Go Sailing practical handbook and one year's free membership to the RYA.
Sticking with the pirate theme this year we will also be awarding prizes to the best dressed pirates in our Pirate Fancy dress competition. Come along to the show in your best pirate outfit and the RYA Dinghy Show Pirate Captain will pick the best dressed pirate to win some great goodies.
If you're a member of sailing club then you could also help your club be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes. Simply select your club from the list when buying your tickets online and you could help your club win one of these great prizes:
