London 2012 sailors Annie Lush and Kate Macgregor and British Sailing Team sailors Dylan Fletcher and Nick Thompson took to the stage this morning (Saturday 02 March) to officially open the RYA Dinghy Show 2013.
In front of a packed house Annie, Kate, Dylan and Nick sounded the starters' hooter and cut the ribbon to mark the show open.
Running over the weekend of 02-03 March at Alexandra Palace, London, the show is an absolute must for any dinghy enthusiast or even if you want to find out more about getting started.
"We have over 200 exhibitors filling the halls with everything from boats, kit and gear and books to expert advice from clubs and class associations all under one roof" explained RYA show manager Helen Waterhouse.
There's plenty to see and hear all weekend on the Main Stage and at the interactive coaching sessions, where some of the very best dinghy sailors and experts will be sharing their top tips and giving advice. There are loads of fun activities for younger visitors including the always popular Pirate Treasure Hunt and model boat pool, as well as a whole host of competitions to take part in with great prizes to be won.
So if you have a passion for dinghy sailing or if you're looking to get started and want to find out more, then head down to Alexandra Palace and enjoy the RYA Dinghy Show 2013, in association with Yachts & Yachting and Suzuki.
Tickets are available on the door and cost just £13.00 for adults and £6.50 for children on Saturday. Weekend tickets cost £19.50 adults and £6.50 for children. Children go free on Sunday (Up to two children get in free on Sunday when accompanied by a paying adult).
