This weekend sees the first event in the hugely popular Crewsaver Millennium Series for the 2000 class. For the first time this year the series will be sponsored by Crewsaver.
Graham Dalton (the 2000 Class Association chairman) said, "The 2000 class Millennium Series offers great fleet racing for sailors of all ages and experience, and we are delighted to be joined by Crewsaver for this year's events."
Greg O'Brien from Crewsaver said, "We are delighted to be supporting the Crewsaver Millennium Series, the 2000 is a great class and should make for some fun racing!"
The first event is being held at the beautiful seaside town of Broadstairs in Kent. It is being hosted by Broadstairs Sailing Club. There will be 3 races back to back on Saturday (18th) and Sunday (19th) with 5 results to count. The first warning signal on Saturday will not be before 11:55.
Breakfast is available in the club before racing on both days and there will be a Saturday evening social event.
This is the first event in a series of seven MS events this year. The other events are at Snettisham, Grafham, Lee-on-the-Solent, Felixstowe, Bala and Rutland.
