On Saturday 8th June Creeksea Sailing Club invited Mike Peyton the yachting cartoonist and Mayor Neil Pudney to open their splendid concrete launching ramp.

Commodore Alan Shrimplin explained how the slipway had originally been built to launch vessels during the war. The previous ramp had been eroded by the tide and a replacement planned by Alan Shrimplin and Graham Manning. The project was funded by a grant from the Big Society fund also donations from members of C.S.C. and Burnham Town Council Club.

Those present at the Open Day were treated to tea, cakes, sunshine and sailing. C.S.C. wish to thank everyone who supported the project and especially Neil Fulcher of Seabrook Developments for the high quality of work in constructing the ramp. The slipway offers better launching facilities for members of C.S.C. at all states of tide.
