Whitstable Yacht Club has been going strong since 1902 and has a long tradition of running outstanding racing on its sheltered waters.

Each year the club organises a week of racing backed up with fun family orientated events to keep everyone happy. Sponsored by BMW, this year's event kicks off on Monday 5 August with racing starting at 2pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Two races per day will be held back to back where possible. On Wednesday there will be a time trial event and cadet race or just take a break to recover.

Racing is held for Lasers, Tasers, small cats, large cats, general handicap and slow handicap fleets with prizes for class starts and specific classes within the handicap fleets when numbers justify.

The entry fee per boat for the week is £35 and per day £12. The club has plenty of spaces available in the bunk rooms at £20 per person per night.

If you've never been to Whitstable before it's a great little town with a traditional High St, a large beach frontage and some great places to eat and drink so feel free to join us for what promises to be an outstanding week of racing and fun.
