Mid-August 2013 again offered us a very extreme Spring low tide, allowing us to capture a superb selection of new aerial pictures of various Solent Hazards. The Solent Shallows website features all sorts of interesting shots of rock outcrops and shallow banks around the Solent area.
There are a number of quite significant changes in the sand and gravel shallow areas around the Solent from year to year, and these interesting images have been uploaded to our website - free to use.
For instance, the Shingles bank has moved again, whilst the Brambles Bank is much lower this year. Stone Point at Lepe is now much bigger. Long Ledge in Alum Bay is notoriously 'out of place' on the charts!
