The days are starting to get longer, the sailing calendars have been published and if you are like me, you are planning how you are going to stretch the days off work to attend the events that sound exciting.
During the summer months, I will be keenly racing every spare moment I can find, and I really do not want to mess up an event though gear failure, or waste one minute of sunshine repairing or preparing my boat in the garage so the time is now. It's time to pull the cover back and turn your tired neglected boat into your weapon of choice / Sunday Best for 2014.
#BoatPrep101 will be a series of articles that will take you through 5 vital aspects of Boat Preparation throughout February. My £950 4000 number 4190 will be my vehicle to take you from boat park graveyard to Dinghy Show stand - and hopefully Championship Winning Boat.
So look out for my 5 BoatPrep101 articles to help inspire your boat preparation this season.
- #BoatPrep101 - Part 1 - Trailing Safety, (Straps, ties, lighting boards, bearings, wheels etc) with some tips to speed up your boat up. Vital as my road trailer seized 3 miles from the sailing club!
- #BoatPrep101 - Part 2 - Hull Prep, Cleaning and Repairs.
- #BoatPrep101 - Part 3 - Blocks, Hardware and Rope
- #BoatPrep101 - Part 4 - Rigging and Contact Points.
- #BoatPrep101 - Part 5 - Check through your kitbag - Possibly the most important part of the mechanism is you. Have you got what you need to get through the season, whatever the weather?
Don't miss out!
