SOUTH COASTS LEADING DINGHY REPAIR CENTRE!

With so much going on at the moment and a seriously diverse range of work being undertaken in both traditional and modern materials I thought this week I would highlight some of the main projects we have embarked on recently.

XOD ENVY
The finish line is in sight for X166, she should be hitting the water in the next week as the antifoul has been applied and the new raised floor is at the point of completion. I have to say I have genuine boat envy, having sailed an XOD in 25+ knots it isn’t the easiest boat to get onto the side of with a low floor. The raised floor is going to make quite a difference to sailing their boat and will definitely be on my job list next winter!

CUSTOM CARBON
Carbon masts are fantastic products, but they require careful maintenance to maximise their performance and longevity. Not only do we offer servicing, repair and clear coating but we can also finish masts to the customers specification, maximising strength, minimising weight and minimum holes. This week we have completed a custom carbon boom bracket on a Chipstow Merlin mast, far stronger than the riveted version, dramatically reducing the risk of failure!

LADY IN RED
Over the past two weeks we have re-sprayed Geoff & Amelia Camm’s N12, she is now looking very red (as requested) and shiny, ready to get back to racing. All fairing, spraying and finishing work was completed in-house by our expert workshop team.

B14 UPGRADES
With two sets of B14 racks nearing completion and last years European Championship winner in for some TLC after the Stokes Bay open, P&B South is the first stop for any B14 sailor! If you are a B14 sailor in need of any work to be completed on your boat whether it be new racks, carbon repairs and clear coating, general chandlery or perhaps a new set of sails, we have all the products and expertise to get you and your boat performing to their best this summer!

STRUCTURAL & COSMETIC REPAIR
Two weeks ago we undertook the repair to a gunwale of a MK10 flying 15 which had been holed on the port side. The repair itself required the structural rebuild of the hull, deck and gunwale join and a cosmetic repair to match the boats original appearance including the deck pattern; no easy task to undertake! This job has been completed to the highest standard with a perfect repair all within a two week lead time, not only this but we were also able to take care of a few other cosmetic jobs while the boat was here.

We pride ourselves on completing repairs to the highest standard along with the aim of getting our customers back on the water as quickly as possible.
