Holland imports the double world champion coach Mike Lee supported by Allen Brothers
The two day coaching event at Watersportvereniging Oostvoorne in Holland was attended by RS Tera and Feva sailors and a Splash sailor.
The age ranged from 10 to 13 years over the 3 classes. The first job was to look over all the boats; a number of Allen upgrades, including the extremely effective A4272 chain plate, were identified as necessary.
The sailing started with a group very keen to get on the water on Saturday. Language was not a problem because Dutch children are pretty fluent in English from very young. Winds were good and the sun kept showing for most of the day. The group were very keen to learn as much as possible so videos of the days sailing followed the barbecue and went on to just before 10 pm.
Sunday was another early start rigged and ready to sail at 8, so after a quick classroom session it was out on the water for a very light and shifty day where all sailors were able to practice light airs techniques. Lunch was followed by short course racing and the now competitive fleet scrapped it out for the best position on the start line. Allen Brothers as usual provided the fantastic support and the whole group would like to thank them for 'Going Dutch'.
