London River Travellers Trophy at Gravesend Sailing Club

After a murky start to the day, 11 dinghies vied for position in the 3rd and final leg of the London River Travellers Trophy series. Participants from Greenwich, Gravesend and Shadwell took part in the sausage shaped course using the full potential of the tidal Thames at Gravesend.
Wayfarer "Dipper" James Eastwood from Greenwich YC took to lead early and was chased by Dayboat Crystal Dawn from Gravesend. Bosun No 7, Greenwich was hot on their heels, but on handicap was beaten by 7 seconds by the Dayboat, who won the race, Dipper was 3rd.
Overall trophy cup winner was James Eastwood, Greenwich YC. Best Club trophy (points) went to Greenwich and Erith YC and Greenwich tied for most number of entrants to the series. Erith YC junior team Dawn Snape and Shane Butcher won the junior prize.
Founder of the original LRTT series, Chris Hague-Smith was race officer.
