The Battle of the Classes at the PSP Southampton Boat Show will be part of Bart's Bash © Bart's Bash
Be part of a Guinness World Record attempt at the PSP Southampton Boat Show on 21st September and show your support for the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation.
You're invited to join us this year and take part in the Guinness World Record attempt 'Bart's Bash'. Take part in the Battle of the Classes Pursuit Race, in association with YachtsandYachting.com, SailRacer and Active Nation and also be a part of the Guinness World record attempt Bart's Bash. The winner of the event will win an RS Tera.
Murray Ellis, Managing Director of PSP Southampton Boat Show said, "Following our partnership at January's London Boat Show, we're delighted to be once again supporting the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation and are really looking forward to 'Bart's Bash' and being part of this great record attempt. The Show will serve as a fantastic spectator point before hosting a prize giving for our part of the record attempt, giving visitors a look at what sailing is truly about."
Edwin Buckley, RCYC: "Edwin Buckley and the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club members are delighted to again be involved with this prestigious class event. We are all looking forward to working with our partners at SWAC again, and getting the race into the records. I hope to see the event go from strength to strength."
Following the Pursuit Race format, the first race will start at 1pm on 21st September. Competitors will launch from the nearby Southampton Water Activities Centre and will be competing on a course laid just off the boat show marina. Each class will be represented by just two boats so standards will be high with each class competing to show who is best.
Join us on the Active Nation stand (A132A) at the PSP Southampton Boat Show afterwards for the prize giving of an RS Tera for the winner of the event.
On the day you'll be able to track the racing through partner SailRacer at battle.sailracer.org
