Sail to Win, the iconic series of racing books from the 1980s and 1990s, was re-launched by Fernhurst Books at the RYA Suzuki Dinghy Show with two brand new titles for the series.
Nick Craig's first book, Helming to Win, is a unique guide to sailing fast, written by someone who is largely self-taught, but has achieved so much success, including winning the Endeavour Trophy more times than anyone else. As an amateur sailor he has the same limited time as most racers and his book will show you how to make the most of that time!
Jon Emmett's book, Coach Yourself to Win, draws on his experience coaching Lijia Xu to win the Laser Radial Olympic gold medal at the London 2012 and his own world championship winning successes. Contributors to this book include Simon Hiscocks, Paul Goodison, Joe Glanfield and Lijia Xu herself. Lijia is also featured on the cover winning her gold medal!
Both Nick and Lijia were on the Fernhurst Books' stand at the Dinghy Show, spoke about the two books at the re-launch (see the video) and signed many copies of the books for eager purchasers.
Many young Optimist and Laser Radial sailors got advice from Lily (as well as her Laser Radial Gold, she has won the girls' Optimist world championship twice) and had their photographs taken with her.
More books are being worked on for the series and will be published in the future.
