St Ives Sailing Club Annual Regatta - Preview

by Stuart Backhouse 10 Jun 2015 19:14 BST 20 June 2015

St Ives Sailing Club in Cornwall will be hosting their annual regatta on Saturday 20th June. We welcome visitors from near and far to join us for 3 races in the most fantastic sailing waters off the north coast of Cornwall.

If you are coming down on holiday and want to bring your boat we have limited space in our dinghy pen available or we have club Lasers and Picos available for a small donation. Please visit the club website for the Notice of Race and more information.

All races are handicap fleet PY races, and we get a good mix of boats from Picos and Toppers through to Enterprises, Larks, RS700s and Musto Skiffs.

Seals and dolphins are almost guaranteed to be out in the bay and off course the sun always shines. We've booked a nice breeze for the day with the normal north coast swell to give some nice waves for surfing. If you do happen to fall in the water, the temperature is now up to a balmy 13 degrees.

So come on down and join us for what is always an enjoyable day's sailing. Contact details for booking club boats, or if you want to talk to us about pen space or any other details, can also be found on our website, www.stivessailingclub.com.
